In short: This website sets no cookies, uses no tracking or analytics tools and loads no content from third-party servers (no Google Fonts, no embedded videos, no social media plugins). Only the technically necessary server logs are recorded by the web host.

This is an English translation provided for convenience. Only the German version (Datenschutzerklärung) is legally binding.

2. Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by STRATO AG, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. When you visit the site, the server automatically records information that your browser transmits. This includes:

IP address
date and time of access
page or file requested
referrer URL (the previously visited page)
browser and operating system used

This data is technically necessary to deliver the site and to ensure the security and stability of the server. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure and functioning website). The data is not combined with other data sources and is deleted or anonymized by STRATO after a short time. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with STRATO.

3. No cookies, no tracking

This website does not use cookies and does not store anything else in your browser either. No analytics, advertising or tracking services are used. All fonts, images and scripts are loaded directly from this server.

4. Displaying the current program version

To always show the latest version on the site, this server regularly asks GitHub for the current release. No data about you is transmitted to GitHub in the process: the request is made by the web server alone, and the response is cached there. Your browser does not connect to GitHub for this.

5. Downloads via GitHub

The program files are provided on GitHub. Only when you click “Download” or another GitHub link does your browser connect to the servers of GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Among other things, your IP address and technical browser data are transmitted to GitHub. GitHub is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. You can find more information in GitHub's privacy statement.

6. Links to Discord and Bluesky

This site links to the project's Discord server and Bluesky profile. These are simple links, not embedded content. Data is only transmitted to these services once you click a link. From then on, the respective provider's privacy policy applies:

7. Contact by email

If you send me an email, I process your details (email address, name and message content) only to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, or Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your request relates to a contract. The data is deleted once the request has been dealt with and no statutory retention obligations apply.

For security reasons, this site uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by “https://” and the lock icon in your browser's address bar.

11. Note on the software

This privacy policy applies to the website. The 3MF Katalog Manager desktop application itself works locally on your computer. Your catalog is not transmitted to me or to third parties.
